Racoon dogs skinned alive to make knock off uggs

This is possible the most HORRIFYING, DISGUSTING , MEAN, SHOCKING, GRAPHIC, CRUEL ting i have EVER seen. I genuinely cried, and spend most of the video with my hands clasped over my mouth. I feel sick and spreading the news like this is the Least i can do. Do not watch the video if you are easily you know sick, it is so horrifying there are no words.

Basically Chinese farms are skinning raccoon dogs alive for their fur. Real uggs are made of sheep skin - not an awful lot better - and can cost up to $300 a pair, however these knock offs are being produced at a fraction of a price because they are using raccoon dog fur. Around 40 million raccoon dogs a year are being killed for their fur. Whats worse, raccoon dogs are not classed as dogs and so are exempt from the high street rules apparently, so they could in theory, legally end up on the hightstreet and we would be none the wiser.

What you can do:
  • Make sure if you have to buy uggs you buy real ones.
  • Avoid anything that mentions animal products/testing etc.. and watch out for fur.
  • If possible, until all this has blown over and been solved, avoid uggs in general. Who know's what is going on behind the scenes.
  • Spread the word.

Tux Deluxe

All images courtesy of http://www.newlook.com/ all rights reserved.
Intro:
The Tux jacket is the most versatile one out there. Allways in and never out, it's a classic! It can be worn during the day time to smarten up your t's or add a bit of retro sheek to a casual outfit , OR perhaps to work for a comfy coat alternative OR during the night to look feisty, sheek and effortlessly glamourous.

How to rock it:
Take a leaf out of Kelly's book and wear your tux loud and proud. Go for Colours that either complement your outift pallete or completley clash for a pop art feel. Yellow's scream vintage, Red's scream confident and pink screams girly glam.

If your more of a night time girl, look at Beyonce for inspiration. Take an uber glam sequined dress and match it with an equally shiny and heavily sequined tux on top. Make sure to match a shade already used in your outfit in order to stop it looking like someone threw up rainbow fairies onto your nice outfit.
Or, For a sleeker, classic and more proffesional feel, copy Rachel. She teams the classic colours of white and black for a contrasting and edgy but timeless outfit. This look could be carried effortlessly from day through night with a switch of shoes and jewellry. Here she has put the black tux ( can never go wrong with a black tux) with a sexy black corset to add an edge to the outfit. This is a great way to bring the outfit from work - try pairing it with a sheer black blouse or strappy top - to night.

How to get the look:
1) Team liquid black leggings/ Leather jeans with over sized bold print tees. Opt for a satin material for night and a blouse or graphic tee shirt for the day.
 2) Go for nude makeup and basic eyes. Add a pop of colour with some bold lipstick, go for red's or pinks depending on your complexion.

3) Accessorise using colours form a complementing palette. Try to find some timeless gold chandelier  earrings like Hilary's.

4)Finally wear sandals instead of converse for a more fashionable and glam but equally comfy finish to the outfit. During the evening try some black strap wedges.

GET THE LOOK : kristen stewart

How to get the look:

 1) Team day&night time dresses with flats instead of heels. Try dolly shoes for night and sandals during the day.

2) Wear dark nail varnish that contrasts with your skin. Try a blood red or black.

3) Nip any dresses in at the waist to define your shilouette. Try a studded black one to give your outfit a bit of an edge or one in a bright colour (although kristen doesn't do colour)

4) When it comes to picking a kristen dress, stick to these simple rules:
  1.  Nudes or blacks (or both..)
  2. Opt for ones with minute detail such as beading or sparkle.
  3. Go for structured/tailored/timeless pieces that show off a slim shilouette. Either strapless or strappy, no sleeves.

Twighlight inspired gift ideas!

All images courtesy of : http://team-twilight.com/

So it's nearly Christmas time, how exciting. For all you shoppers leaving prezzie buying to the last minute you have this weekend and next Saturday if I'm right? I'm always right.

I think we all know someone who's either or obbsessed or atleast enjoys the popular Twighlight saga. You know what i'm talking about. Hot wearwolves with no tops, thirsty vampires and a rather woodenly acted "Bella". What's not to like, i think it's everyones guilty pleasure. Anyhoo, here are a list of great christmas gifts i've put together if you need some twighlight inspiration. Spread the love.

  1. Twighlight perfume . Yey! you to can smell like hot dog ok fine vampires, whatever that might be. Purchase at various fragrance/beauty related stores such as Boots.

2. Team twighlight necklaces yeyyyyyyy . They come in two variations , one being for werewofl lvoers and one being for vampire lovers. It's a cute idea, i wouldn't recommend it for girls aged over 16 or so unless they are true die hard fans.

3. The film. This is not just any film, this is the m&s twighlight film . ahaha see what i did there? it's not, but it is the official collectors edition illustrated movie.

4.  If they like the books, why not get the either the complete collection/ their favourite in hardback/ find some that are perhaps signed/ unique/collectors items. Alternativley you could buy them the other books stephanie myer has written as a spin off about one particular vampire. It's just a thought

Thankyou for reading! Hope this helepd a little bit? xxxxx
